• To build a common understanding for socio-political questions of different national welfare state regimes
• To gain knowledge in selected rules, methods, models or theories about interdisciplinary and international cooperative analysis of socio-political questions
• Recognition of perspectives, methodological approaches and socio-political solutions of different welfare state arrangements, also regarding the socio-political arrangement and regulation of personalised social services
• The ability to independently and sustainably shape learning and working processes in multidisciplinary teams
• To gain knowledge, communication possibilities, and possibilities for action
• The ability to contrast both, paradigms and value systems in respect to different areas of expertise as well as the programming of the welfare state
