Students understand group formation processes in social and pedagogical fields of work. They are able to plan, organize and facilitate group processes. They can moderate and support groups in achieving their goals and have an understanding of intergroup dialogue in the field of youth work.
Content information
In a lot of areas in social work, group work is an important part. Therefore organizing a group, running a group and evaluating a group is an important competence for a social worker. In order to achieve that, the knowledge of group processes, phases in groups, roles and leadership skills are necessary. Additionally special forms of group work, e.g. supervision will be a part of this seminar. This seminar will include practical methods and tools for group work.
